"Dove" silk
[edit]This needs a citation: "Most famously, the robe of a Doctor of Divinity of the University of Cambridge is faced with "Dove-shot" silk, a three-way shot of pale grey, emerald green, and magenta."
Every reference I can find online that isn't based on this article says dove silk is turquoise shot with rose, for an overall grey appearance. - PKM (talk) 01:59, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_dress_of_the_University_of_Cambridge This is only for hoods, but this other article (which looks much more reliable) says, for Doctor of Divinity, "of scarlet cloth lined with dove-coloured silk, that is silk of a turquoise-blue shot with rose-pink", which also corroborates PKM's comment. 81.100.160.48 (talk) 10:04, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
