We should rename the article to murder of Justine Damon, to be consistant with the George Floyd article. Since the policemen was convicted of murder, this seems like a more accurate and neutral title. Francis1867 (talk) 22:45, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'd support "Killing of" for the title over "shooting of". Part of the notability here is that Damond was killed. If the shooting was nonfatal, there would have been much less attention. Enwebb (talk) 01:08, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it should be changed from "Killing" to "Murder". This is simple - Noor was convicted of murder. If this is left as "killing", then all murders should be changed to "killing", which would be ridiculous. It was a murder. I don't see people clamoring to change George Floyd's murder to "killing" - this is the same thing. Damond was murdered by a police officer. Green Marble (talk) 17:33, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Should the title be updated to the murder of Justine Damond?
Her killer was convicted of third-degree murder, so she was legally killed. Let me know your thoughts.— Preceding unsigned comment added by ERM1130 (talk • contribs)
Please take the time to read the posts above this one. There is clearly no consensus to change the title to "Murder of ...". WWGB (talk) 03:00, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Of course the title should be changed from "killing" to "murder". Mohammad Noor, the police office who killed Ms. Damond, was convicted of murder. Similarly, George Floyd was killed by a police officer, the officer was convicted of murder, and the title of the Wikipedia appropriately calls it a murder. This title of this article should be no different. Green Marble (talk) 20:21, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
