Opposition to the move by CambridgeBayWeather

[edit]

@CambridgeBayWeather: A disambiguation suffix like "(vessel)" works much better than the current Ship's load line, because they are never officially called like that. Look e.g. at the text of the International Convention on Load Lines. And load lines exist not only for classical ships but also for barges, ferries, etc., that’s why I chose vessel as a more generic term. And vessel is rather common in the nautical field, see the DAB Vessel and Watercraft. An alternative would be "load line (watercraft)". Would that work for you? As I said my first thought of vessel was pressure vessel because that's what I work with. Load line (watercraft) would be better. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 13:01, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Then I would go ahead and move to load line (watercraft). Or do I need to wait some more time? Einsenkungsmarke (talk) 13:08, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no objections to the watercraft disambiguation. I would say go ahead and move it. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 13:10, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, done. Will clean up the double redirects. Einsenkungsmarke (talk) 13:20, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
