Beyond Shepperton

Article says it was intended to go to a terminus on N bank of Thames. Another online article (http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1077162) would have the line going to Weybridge and I, a long lifetime user, was always fed that it was planned to get to Chertsey. That it did not connect at Chertsey is lamented by those given to lamentation as a good diversionary route missed.--SilasW (talk) 19:11, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Twin Tracks

Does anyone know the date it became two tracks? That must have been the point when a more frequent service was possible and so changing the nature of Shepperton as a place to commute from. Szczels (talk) 14:01, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing style

I would like to do some work over the next few weeks to bring this article up to a decent "C" class standard. Principally, I would like to tighten up the text, add a little more information and improve the referencing. Per WP:CITEVAR, would anyone object if I convert the reference format to use Template:sfn? (Pinging @Afterbrunel: as an editor responsible for adding a fair chunk of content in the past couple of years, although I don't think they are around any more.)

Thanks @Afterbrunel: I have made these changes. Per WP:SUMMARY, I have moved some material on the racecourse station and services to Kempton Park railway station, where I felt it fitted better. I wondered if you had any photos of the line (especially from the pre-privatisation era) that you might be able to upload to Commons?
