If you search "Soulja Boy" in the RIAA's Gold and Platinum database, you will see that he has never had a platinum album... or even gold. He's had platinum singles, but only singles. So his discography is completely wrong in regards to sales. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.182.82 (talk) 16:24, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The single "Let Me Get Em" was made in 2007 when the video came out about a month after crank dat.

This article should just be merged with the main article as all the info is there already (except for guest appearances). There is no reason to have two pages. If no one objects, I will preform the merge. Rigby27 Talk 02:07, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Soulja Boy Tell 'Em discography

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Soulja Boy Tell 'Em discography's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "RIAA":

  • From List of music recording certifications: "RIAA - Recording Industry Association of America". Recording Industry Association of America. Retrieved 2008-05-26.
  • From Chris Brown (American singer): "RIAA – Gold & Platinum". RIAA. Retrieved 2009-01-12.
  • From Lil' Kim: "Gold and Platinum - Junior M.A.F.I.A." RIAA. Retrieved 2009-03-30.
  • From 8Ball & MJG: Searchable Database. RIAA. Accessed August 24, 2007.
  • From Bubba Sparxxx: "Gold and Platinum". RIAA. Retrieved 2009-03-23.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:39, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name controversy

[edit]

I came to wikipedia today to find out if this Soulja Boy was the same one that was featured on Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's 1997 Art of War album. It's not, and there was a controversy about this guy stealing the stage name of a rapper that had already been using it for more than 10 years. Wikipedia couldn't help me figure this out. That's all. 24.229.66.184 (talk) 14:38, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Digital albums

[edit]

This article is a mess, much of which can be traced back to this "Digital albums" section. It doesn't matter if an album never received a physical release, it still belongs elsewhere in this article - "digital albums" are not by default different from his studio albums or mixtapes or whatever. That is the most patently ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I've fixed it as much as I can but I can't be sure about the rest of it - I don't believe there even needs to be a section like that in the article. Digital albums

[edit]

There is currently a discussion taking place at Talk:Young Thug discography as to whether the "digital albums" subheading is appropriate, or if it should be merged into albums/mixtapes. Any comments are appreciated. Azealia911 talk 16:25, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Here we go again...

[edit]

Just as there's no need for a "digital albums" heading, there isn't one for "independent albums". Again, an "independent album" is not a format for recorded music. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 16:17, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
