Amendments

[edit]

Dear all, many salams. I have added to this stub and tried to organize it up to a basic Wiki standard-- will need more work as we go along. I have also removed the 'more references/citations' tag as have added verifiable references as per Wiki verifiability reqs. Best wishes Khani100 (talk) 07:00, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Khani100[reply]

Image Addition Probs

[edit]

I have uploaded an image for Shaukat Hayat Khan, c 1942, on Wikipedia but cant seem to add this properly to the page. There were some 'objections' to the copyright status of the image but have clarified/removed these objections. Once again, I would like to reiterate that (a) this photo image was originally part of the TSI public archives in Pakistan; (b)its in any case an old photo the copyright of which expired under law a long time ago; and (c) I have personally obtained it from the archives, created the image in its present form and hold self rights to it which I have duly share openly in the public domain, here, now. I assure everyone on Wiki not to please worry, as there are no issues relating to it. I have gone to a lot of personal effort and trouble to obtain this material for this site, and it would be good if it is properly utilised now. I would be very grateful if some tech-minded editor/user could kindly add this image to this article/page, thanks. Khani100 (talk) 07:08, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Khani100[reply]

Dear friends/fellow users/editors Re my note for help above, I have now decided to remove the link/image from the article as the Wikipedia admin feel that they should delete it. It's a bit of a let down after a considerable effort, involving research, then going up to Abbottabad to access the TSI Archives and getting the photo and its rights to myself, and then creating it in this form, and uploading it etc. Doesnt seem much point in all this effort! I was just keen to help out and improve the various Wiki projects relating to Pakistan, especially Pakistani history etc and indeed, have also got rights to some 20 other photographs which are associated with articles already here, which are all wasted now. Anyhow, am sorry to have bothered you with this problem and thanks for your cooperation at all times! : ) Best regs Khani100 (talk) 07:38, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Khani100[reply]

Also removed today from my editorial watchlist

[edit]

W ref to my comments on the talk page of Sikandar Hayat Khan (Punjabi politician) today, I am also removing this article from my editorial watch list and shall not work on it in future, since I do not want to be mixed up with the sort of rot that I had to deal with without any help/assistance from Wikipedia, in support. In fact I am removing all articles that have anything to do directly with this particular family of feudals and politicians. Thank you and bye. Khani100 (talk)Khani100
