The Hebrew script displays incorrectly. Letter Sin appears where Shin should appear throughout the Hebrew. This happens in Chrome and OS X and is a rather urgent issue that needs fixing–the lyrics section is entirely inaccurate. (talk) 03:36, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi I have checked this and it all seems correct. A shin has got a dot in the upper-right corner and a sin in the upper-left Y.GOLD (talk) 11:42, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
I have no idea why the "neutrality" of this article is doubted. I would very much like someone to explain to me. Sussmanbern (talk) 04:32, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
I have added some material, particularly with regard to the Sefardic version. I hope this meets with everyone's approval.Sussmanbern (talk) 23:31, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
I FIXED the sepharadi versions mistakes! in Sepharadi hebrew Tzere maleh is pronounced as haser, for example אין en and not EIN , בית לחם beth lehem and not BEIT. same with Mal'aCHE not chey.
The name of the piyut is Shalom ALekhem and not AleIchem...too bad people write things which they have no clue about.

Melodies
[edit]I cleaned up the Melodies section a little bit:
- I removed the reference to the Jewish Americana version. That line was added anonymously, reads like an advertisement, and links to a version that doesn't seem to be of great notability (catchy as it may be). I can't find any justification why it should be there.
- The Kinderlach version is actually the same melody as Rabbi Goldfarb's, so I moved the mention of Kinderlach right below the Goldfarb mention. I removed the Listen link, which was never a working link.
The melodies section has a significant amount of original research that needs to be properly sourced. Eli espire 22:55, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
modify: "sung by Orthodox Jews"
[edit]The phrase: "sung by Orthodox Jews every Friday night"
is not accurate, because many non-Orthodox Jews sing it as well.
I suggest replacing "Orthodox" with "practicing" Jews. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.78.6.216 (talk) 02:31, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
