[edit]{{rfc|lang}}
Should Jhangvi dialect and Shah puri dialect be written as dialect of Saraiki language?182.186.34.114 (talk) 12:01, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- No It is different as per linguistic sources. Saraiki is not a language please see talk page consensus on Saraiki dialect page.39.51.169.207 (talk) 17:38, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- There is already a discussion on exactly the same matter at Talk:Saraiki dialect#RfC: Is Saraiki language? - I have deactivated this RfC per WP:MULTI, so please can we have only one discussion. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:49, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- That's a pointless question. There seems to be some variety of opinion whether it's Western or Eastern so merging it into any one of the two is going to be infinitely contestable. But even apart from that, dialects are notable and this one deserves its own article, which can easily be expanded with material from Wilson's excellent, if probably outdated, grammar. – Uanfala (talk) 23:22, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
