I think this article needs a great deal more detail- what exactly IS shadowmation, besides a link to the Japanese puppetry. How is it accomplished exactly, what do puppeteers do and how is computer animation combined to do this? The link to the patent describes in very technical terms what is patented, but a 'translation' to normal-speak would be much appreciated! I came to wikipedia hoping to find some clearer explanation.
