Should we include the similar mitzvah of Kilayim in this article or create a separate article for it? I feel that it is similar and overlapping enough that we can apply the laws of Shatnez (particularly wool & linen) with Kilayim (particularly grains or fruit) --Valley2city₪‽ 17:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

definitely a new article. They are two different commandments. Jon513 14:14, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Punishment?

[edit]

Enforcement: was there ever any punishment prescribed for those breaking this law? A section heading contains the word "enforcement", but it doesn't contain anything about punishment. Arminden (talk) 07:37, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

According to Maimonides (Kilayim 10:30) someone breaching this receives lashes. Joe in Australia (talk) 02:38, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Joe, thank you. Would you mind adding this to the article? Thanks again. Arminden (talk) 11:27, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
