The result of the move request was: moved. (non-admin closure) – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 11:05, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Sersinho Eduards → Sersinho Eduard – Even though Eduards seems the correct spelling, and both variants be found. Eduard is more common and it appears on official publications: National team. KittenKlub (talk) 13:09, 6 May 2021 (UTC) —Relisting. BD2412 T 04:24, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose - nominator shot themselves in the foot admitting that "Eduards seems the correct spelling", so we go with that. GiantSnowman 11:06, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- GiantSnowman I'm nominating him to get his name right. Nardisoero changed the name, and many sources including official sources seem to agree with "Eduard". The problem it is probably a common mistake, because surnames based on given names usually end in "s", but there was no strict naming rule in the 19th century.KittenKlub (talk) 11:18, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- But you said that 'Eduards' is the correct spelling? GiantSnowman 11:23, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- "Eduards" would be the normal way to spell it both in Dutch and English, but there can be an exception. The problem is that it could be a common mistake.Dagblad Suriname, one of the main newspapers: Eduard & Eduards. The number of results and the reliability seems to be in favour of Eduard, however Eduards is used a lot as well. KittenKlub (talk) 11:26, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- You've contradicted yourself here. GiantSnowman 11:30, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

- Overview:
- Eduard: National team (see above), Star Nieuws, Surinaamse Voetbal Bond, National Football Teams
- Eduards: msn Voetbal.com World Football.net
- both: Dagblad Suriname (see above)
- De Ware Tijd & Waterkant (no search results), however there are in memoriams for both Eduard and Eduards.
- Then again I don't think I'm being taken seriously here, so I end it here. KittenKlub (talk) 12:21, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- Support appears to be better backed by RS. I don't see any contradiction. "Eduards" indeed seems like the correct spelling since it fits a common pattern with surnames, but that doesn't mean it is the correct spelling. (t · c) buidhe 13:28, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- Support. The proposed name is more common in RS, so we go with that. Andrewa (talk) 03:34, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
