Hellenistic Mathematician
[edit]Serenus is not a Hellenistic mathematician. His exact dates are uncertain; however, it is likely, as the article states, that he lived in the 4th century AD. This means that, far from being a Hellenistic mathematician, he was mathematician from late antiquity. Indeed, his extant works have all the hallmarks of mathematics of this late period. Michael N. Which Theon?

He can't have done. Theon of Smyrna (according to your link) flourished 100 CE which is 200 years earlier. Perhaps Theon of Alexandria is meant.
