[edit]The name "Second Harbour Crossing" is very ambiguous and could refer to any city's second harbour crossing - the Sydney Harbour Tunnel or the Eastern Harbour Crossing in Hong Kong, for example could be seen as "Second Harbour Crossing"s. Is there a better title to use for this? JRG (talk) 00:47, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- It COULD be the "Second Harbour Crossing, Auckland". However, the term is NOT ambiguous in New Zealand (it's the official working title, including in government documents), and according to Wikipedia logic, we don't need to append qualifiers unless there's different articles with the same title. - I have reconsidered and moved it. Ingolfson (talk) 15:30, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ok - thanks - I thought your points above were legitimate anyway and would have accepted that it not be moved - I've argued the same thing for an Australian site which was much more well known but was moved anyway. JRG (talk) 03:11, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Second crossing could refer to any harbour with one crossing!
The background section begins 1969. But debate began before that, and should really include reference to all proposals for bridges over the harbour - which go back to the 1920's.203.184.41.226 (talk) 19:12, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
