SangEr
[edit]The spellings "sangar" and "sanger" seem to be used interchangeably. "Sangar" seems to be much the more popular, but it seems "sanger" has gained such currency in official British military publications, and reliable independent media reporting on British military doings, so I think we're remiss to not mention that here (and in the dab at Sanger). Some cites:
- MOD Defence News, which uses sangar and sanger interchangeably in the same article
- BBC News
- British Army training document
- RAF newspaper
- The Independent
- BBC News
- Royal Corp. of Signals magazine (several occasions)
- British Army report on Operation Herrick
- Royal Yorkshire regiment magazine

There is the same problem with the spelling of Bergen and Bergan a type of backpack used by the British Armed Forces. -- PBS (talk) 22:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
