Fair use rationale for Image:Hui sam 2.jpg
[edit]Image:Hui sam 2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:42, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Requested move 15 May 2018
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
Moved. See no major objection to this proposal. We see that the long-term stable name is "Samuel" and was moved on 5 May 2018 to "Sam" with this edit. That was reverted to "Samuel" on 15 May with this edit. The reverting editor has not weighed in here; however, sixteen days and a relisting seems to be ample time to have done so. Have a Great Day and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) Painius put'r there 01:19, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
Samuel Hui → Sam Hui – Sam Hui was far more common name than Samuel Hui. Source:[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]; also IMDB is not a reliable source. Some secondary source do used "Samuel Hui", but far less common than "Sam Hui". Matthew_hk tc 08:46, 15 May 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Galobtter (pingó mió) 11:54, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
- Also, Chinese language newspaper and TV program also use Sam Hui,[8][9] Matthew_hk tc 09:02, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

- Comment not convinced, a GBook search gave marginally more for Samuel Hui In ictu oculi (talk) 12:09, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- Did you isolate the namesake? Also, it seems no newspaper refer him as Samuel despite it did his baptized name. Matthew_hk tc 12:14, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

- I think it need to have a qualitative approach to google search that click in to see the book preview is actually existed or not, as well as it was using "Samuel Hui" or "Samuel Hui Kwun-kit" as the latter is a common way to avoid namesake confusion. But no doubt "Sam Hui" is his stage name. Matthew_hk tc 15:03, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

- More on the usage part: local magazine did had used Samuel Hui, but as part of a long name that also included the artist Chinese given name. http://m.scmp.com/magazines/post-magazine/arts-music/article/1006141/record Matthew_hk tc 21:42, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Full name
[edit]Unlike standard Chinese (Mandarin) romanization, there is no standard way to romanizate Cantonese name (or sometimes, people in Hong Kong bear romanization of name of Shanghaiese dialect; there is a "code of practice" in birth registry in Hong Kong but it had much variance among people with same Chinese name), i can't find the source to support the name "Hui Kwun-kit" but "Hui Koon-kit", so i removed the former.
