Article title
[edit]- I have ran into somewhat of a conundrum on a quick search. There is conflict with the article name as presented by at least one source (on the article) and other sources. A schooner matching the description of the subject is presented as being named Alice McGuigin, by the USG war archives and a likely misspelled "Alice McGulgin" in one source (Merchant Vessels of the United States, pp.5). The Official Records of the Union and Confederate Navies in the War of the Rebellion (By United States. Navy Department, Charles W. Stewart: pp. 639 and 640) give accounts of a flag-of-truce schooner Alice McGuigin being boarded that is used on the article.
- I realize most of the time we show the conflict and list the sources but I am looking for one more piece of evidence to indicate if Alice McGuigin should be the article title. Otr500 (talk) 23:08, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi - as the original author, I have also found a couple of other sources that correct the spelling to Alice McGuigin
