Catholic or Atheist ?

[edit]

She seems to have nothing to do with the Catholic Church and only pretend it to be, because it´s not politically correct for a politician in USA to be an atheist. In fact, there´s not a single atheist in the Senate.85.244.55.98 (talk) 23:57, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HR 875

[edit]

Whether the concerns about HR 875 have been refuted or not, it isn't up to Wikipedia to say. There is an ongoing controversy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.11.135.246 (talk) 02:56, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is an ongoing false controversy. The e-mails continue to be forwarded but the claims made have been conclusively proven wrong. That doesn't make for "serious speculation" and "heavy dispute." I will restore the previous version, replacing any overly prejudicial language with sourced quotes (ie, "what FactCheck.org calls 'unfounded conspiracy theories'" rather than "conspiracy theories.") <eleland/talkedits> 21:12, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article is about Rosa DeLauro not the concerns of HR 875. The sentences "It would split the agency into an agency responsible for food safety (the Food Safety Administration) and another responsible for regulation of drugs and devices. The bill has been the subject of what FactCheck.org calls "Internet hysteria," including claims that the bill would outlaw organic farming and even backyard gardening. Numerous sources, including Food & Water Watch, have refuted these rumours, although some activists do describe the bill's "one-size-fits-all" approach as harmful to smaller producers.[2][3][4]" are irrelevant to the article's subject" This should be removed and placed in another article regarding HR 875. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.223.163.6 (talk) 15:36, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Electoral history?

[edit]

She was NOT preceded by Nita Lowey. Nita Lowey was in the 18th congressional district of another state---NY

Could we get an electoral history going? I don't have access to the results of all her elections, but maybe someone else does. StanHater (talk) 03:49, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Longest Serving Rep in CT history

[edit]

I believe, looking at the page for the CT congressional delegation, that Rosa DeLauro has already served longer than any other CT Congressional Representative. Is it appropriate to add that and source it to the other wiki page, as it seems like well established and not controversial?

if you have a WP:RS source for it, go ahead and add it in for sure. Definitely notable. Darryl.jensen (talk) 15:15, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
