[edit]I've split this from Roman Catholicism in Serbia and Montenegro, but then it occured to me that that's the approach from political geography, rather than foreign relations point of view - the Holy See could theoretically still consider the Bar Archbishopric together with the Belgrade Archbishopric, but it's doubtful.
Instead, I'd be surprised if the Kotor bishopric didn't eventually come under the jurisdiction of the Bar archbishopric. They're both pretty small, but since they're now the only ones in a small country, it will probably make sense to link them. --Joy [shallot] 19:12, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, the Church is not exactly organized on national terms. Because of this, there will probably still be great cooperation among the bishoprics in both nations (nevertheless, the article split was the right move). As for Kotor's merging with Bar's bishopric, it's rather unlikely in the shortterm. The Kotor Bishopric is still a part of the Church in Croatia, and at least as long as Bishop Janjic is alive, it will not merge into the more Montenegrin/Albanian archbishopric in Bar.
- I was actually confirmed by Bishop Janjic so I have a little bit of knowledge about his views on the region. :P Cheers. --Thewanderer 23:13, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- I hope that the Kotor Bishopric doesn't join the Archbishopric of Bar; all Catholics in 'ere are mostly Croats... --PaxEquilibrium 23:42, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
