The result of the move request was: move to Robert Garcia (American boxer). Given Roberto García (boxer) was moved to Roberto García (Mexican boxer), the nationality becomes necessary here. -- tariqabjotu 22:39, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Roberto Garcia Cortez → Robert Garcia (boxing) – Common name. [1], [2], [3], [4]. This article was erroneously moved early on from Roberto Garcia to Roberto Garcia Cortez to make way for a dab. [5]. Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 17:32, 18 November 2012 (UTC) Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 08:05, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. Too close to Roberto García (boxer). We may need to disambiguate as "American boxer" "Mexican boxer"? DrKiernan (talk) 18:38, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Oppose as proposed, but support Roberto García (Mexican boxer) and Roberto García (American boxer). --BDD (talk) 18:00, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Oppose as proposed, but support Roberto García (Mexican boxer) and Roberto García (American boxer). as per BDD and sources. - Support - but get rid of those erroneous sources in the article. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:50, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose as proposed, but support Roberto García (Mexican boxer)
and Roberto Garcia (American boxer) (without an accent on the i).Sources support "Roberto Garcia" but none use an accent mark. — AjaxSmack 04:48, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- People, it's Robert Garcia not Roberto. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 22:51, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Trouts all around. New vote below. --BDD (talk) 23:18, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Go whack somebody else. Quite a few of the article's sources including BoxRec use "Roberto". However, this image shows his signature without the final o. Therefore, support Robert Garcia (boxer) or Roberto Garcia (American boxer) (neither with an accent and "boxer", not "boxing" as a disambiguator), depending on what others think. No disambiguation pages are needed; use hatnotes. — AjaxSmack 01:31, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

- Support Robert García (boxer). DrKiernan's concerns are noted, but hatnotes can address potential confusion. --BDD (talk) 23:18, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Any particular reason for the accent? Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 23:45, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Support Robert Garcia (boxer), sin acento. And leave an entry for him at Roberto García (disambiguation), since some sources call him Roberto.Cúchullain t/c 13:23, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support Robert Garcia (boxer), and then a hatnote regarding Roberto. Tiggerjay (talk) 06:42, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
