I came by this Website, from what a friend of mine, of over sixty years old. We were discussing the Stewarts. And I was told that his father had inherited a castle in France. But was to poor, to take advantage, of his inheritance.
I am 74 and remember both his father and grand father. We have been friends since I was 5. I know that the Stewarts, got their name from tending horses. Which was a kingly duty and the name is also spelled Stuart. Prior, I was researching the history, of Sullivan Co. NY and found That two famialies, of record were the first settlers. The other family was West. When I spoke to him yesterday. I told him what I found and read him the passage. After which He told me that This castle in France was willed. If you wish to contact him. Send me an afformation. I will ask him and get back to you. |
