Sidey, not Sidney
[edit]It appears Robert S. Shaw's middle name was Sidey, not Sidney. The external link in the article, to his biography at MSU's University Archives & Historical Collections, likely takes as its source William J. Beal (1915) History of the Michigan Agricultural College, which also uses the Sidney spelling.
However, multiple other sources — many contemporary with Shaw himself — use Sidey, including:
- Madison Kuhn (1955) Michigan State: The First Hundred Years, 1855–1955
- David A. Thomas (2008) Michigan State College: John Hannah and the Creation of a World University, 1926–1969
- The Red Cedar Log / Wolverine Yearbook for 1935, transcripted here
I have made the correction, and contacted UAHC for clarification. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 14:45, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
