After Robert's death in 1790 ...
[edit]Who inherited the estate's lands? The Livingston Manor article says it went to Robert's heirs, then lists 3 siblings (Phillip, William, and in-law William Alexander) and a son-in-law (James Duane). Here it says his 4 younger children (presumably Walter, John, Robert, and Mary, wife of Duane) and eldest son Peter's children. Are there any primary sources on this? Might all of these folks have gained some land? How about this: after Robert's death in 1790, the estate was divided amongst his siblings and descendants, with eldest son Peter, for whom Robert disapproved, passed over in favor of Peter's children. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.154.216.83 (talk) 19:38, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
