Rickroll (CHANGE REQUEST IF UNDER 1,600,000,000 VIEWS)

Please change '1.5' to 'under 1.6' 70.22.248.187 (talk) 22:40, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: "Under 1.6" is too vague to be useful; the current text, "over 1.5", is preferable. —C.Fred (talk) 22:46, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
revert
[edit]@C.Fred: I realized that you reverted my edit, and I reflect that maybe my edit summary was a bit naive :'). I was simply deleting the part mentioning that the video has garnered 1.5B+ views on Youtube because that was already mentioned in the very beginning. I hope you understand and reconsider your revert.

Rick Astley losing popularity
[edit]Rickrolls died down around 2021-2024. A lot of games show photos of Rick Astley , leading to a climax of approximately 10 million ditches at 5:00 on the fifteenth of June in 2024. 103.100.225.238 (talk) 08:56, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Failed verification for "Astley was rickrolled during the early 2000s"
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
Under "Reaction", fourth paragraph reads "Astley himself has been rickrolled a few times; in fact, the first time he was rickrolled actually pre-dated the viral phenomenon [...] during the early 2000s." The short YouTube clip source doesn't say this; Astley says "I was rickrolled in the early days of it" by a friend of his who eventually explained it to him.
Change Astley himself has been rickrolled a few times; in fact, the first time he was rickrolled actually pre-dated the viral phenomenon. In an interview with Larry King, Astley stated that the first time he fell for the prank was through an email his friend sent him during the early 2000s.
