Personal life
[edit]For the record obitituries in The Telegraph and The Guardian mention how in 1995 Bennett was named by Gay Times magazine as one of the most influential gay musical figures. Vauxhall1964 (talk) 23:57, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
J's was to Richard Rodney Bennett as the Iridium was to Les Paul
[edit]Since Les Paul's regular weekly gig at Iridium is at least referred to in the article on Les Paul, is it worth tracking down the date when Richard Rodney Bennett started a once-weekly gig at J's nightclub, 97th and Broadway in Manhattan, and kept it up (I think it was every Tuesday) for several years probably until J's closed?2604:2000:1383:8B0B:1C64:8308:33BC:E2D6 (talk) 05:32, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Christopher L. Incorrect word used when discussing RRB's orientation
[edit]The use of the term "homosexual" (both as adjective and especially as noun) is problematic in this article. The term is considered a slur within the LGBTQ community when used this way and it would be preferable to use the word "gay" for the adjective and "gay figures" for the collective noun ("homosexuals").
Please make this correction; the article as it currently stands is offensive.

- @TonstantWikiWeader: I've gone with "gay" and "gay people", which is what the sources say. DuncanHill (talk) 13:23, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
