Notability?
[edit]Ricardo Garijo is a well known comic artist, especially in South America, where comics are considered serious subject matter with significant social importance. His work is well known in Europe as well, thanks to the magazine Commando. And he has recently made a name for himself in the USA with the controversial and prophetic card series, Don't Let It Happen Here. If living comic book artists and pop art illustrators have any significance at all, he is certainly one who fits this critria.
