Reva Lucian → ? — I'm not too familiar with the subject, but this article should probably be using her real name, Heather MacAllister. However, that name is already used as the title of another article, so I'm not sure what the preferred disambiguating term should be. Perhaps Heather MacAllister (performer)? —PC78 (talk) 18:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with*'''Support'''or*'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
Did you even look at the article, which gives two stage names, or the external links, which universally refer to her as Heather MacAllister? PC78 (talk) 15:45, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I read at the article. If her notability is primarily based on the performances she gave under the current stage name, this is the correct title. There is no reference in the article to any performances actually given under the second stage name. If she is primarily notable for her activist work outside of those performances, and used her real name when working for them, then it should be moved. As it stands, I do not think this is clear, so I do not see a compelling reason to move the article. Dekimasuよ!00:35, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Respectfully, I disagree. "Reva Lucian" gets minimal ghits, and the fact that external sources generally refer to her by her real name suggest that this is the common name. Even the Big Burlesque website (the group which she founded) refers to her as "Heather MacAllister aka Reva Lucian". PC78 (talk) 00:49, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Support move: All the obituaries linked in the article refer to her as Heather MacAllister. She seems to be more notable due to her activism, so the article should be moved and re-written to reflect that. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs)04:00, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Support move: firstly, it appears that all of the references refer to her by her real name. Secondly, she seems to have been known by more than one stage name in different contexts and/or different phases of her career. Certainly the stage names should be kept as redirects, but the article should consequently be at her real name. Bearcat (talk) 21:07, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heather MacAllister (performer) → Heather MacAllister (activist) – The article is almost entirely about her activism, which is presumably what makes her notable, rather than her acting. Therefore, it seems that "activist" would be a better disambiguator than "performer". I don't know anything about the subject save for this article, so perhaps others can inform the discussion on this. —sroc💬09:50, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I know Heather's work - and would agree with this change. In some circles she is known for her performances, and others for her activism. However, I think you could make a valid argument that even her performance work was activist in nature. I'm not sure how Heather would have seen herself - but I don't think that's relevant under enWP guidelines - so I'd support this change. --Varnent (talk)(COI)01:45, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
