Regions were not created by the Local Councils Act of 1993 and are not mentioned in the constitution
[edit]The text of the lead states that "Three regions were originally created by the Local Councils Act of 1993, and were integrated into the constitution in 2001". However, the Local Councils Act, 1993 says nothing about regions. Furthermore, regions are not mentioned in the Constitution – the Constitution of Malta (Amendment) Act added local councils to the constitution, not regions.
