Merge
[edit]I'm recommending that we merge Eastern Montana and Western Montana into this article. Both are poorly sourced, rambling articles and at times become drama magnets. There is no single consistent definition for either, so might as well put them here and improve sourcing. Due to the nature of the proposal, discussion is best consolidated here at the target page. - Concur as there are no reliable sources that define EAST and WEST Montana from a discrete geographical perspective. At most, the two are colloquial and could be (as in the articles) defined by any whim one wants to choose. The official government designations are far more definitive and useful. --Mike Cline (talk) 17:59, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- And even "the government" doesn't agree! FWP and Commerce (tourism) apparently don't like playing well together... to say nothing of other state agencies with their own regions, then add in the feds...LOL! Montanabw(talk) 18:54, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Strong oppose, viable subjects. MB298 (talk) 03:13, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
