Lots of edits

An edit summary, because one-line doesn't work that well:

1. Removed section on Perth, far too specific, there is no similar section for any of the several other places
2. Reordered the sections in IMHO better but not perfect way, tried to put less-readable, less important bulk tables/information at the bottom so reading the first couple screens could inform someone totally new to the race about it faster.
3. Commented out pilots section, the table has a point total across multiple seasons which to my knowledge has no meaning whatsoever.
4. Added section on the format of the race.
5. Added a tiny bit of prose to Rules, minor edits to the penalties.

• I define "Format" as to how the event and series as a whole is structured, "Rules" are what govern pilots from the start of the course to the end.

Exceeding g's

It would be good to include why is exceeding 10g and 12g (under some conditions) prohibited?? It looks like they forcefully level the playing field, that is to say punish more capable. Setenzatsu (talk) 12:19, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Air Race World Championship

This article references the new promoter in 2022, as the series starts to take shape are we suggesting that this article should be renamed to "Air Race World Championship" or should that be a new article within "Air Racing"? Although it is a completely new series under new ownership, many of the pilots, key staff and rules remain relatively unchanged.

I don't support a new article for the new series. There have been examples on Wikipedia where new articles have been made after a change in a series. For example, the World Touring Car Championship became the World Touring Car Cup, and a new article was created. However, you could argue that the article should be renamed "Air Race World Championship" because it suggests on the website that this is the continuation of the first series since it states on the website "Building on the legacy of the hugely popular Red Bull Air Race...". It all depends on whether you consider the new series sufficiently different from the first one. In the case of the touring car championship and the touring car cup, the new series received a change in status from "World Championship" to "World Cup" by the FIA (a big deal since world championships are the premier form of racing in their respective motorsports disciplines), so a new article was justified. I don't believe that in this case the new series is sufficiently different. --Curiocity1 (talk) 19:28, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
