Notability & sources?

[edit]

I have tried, and failed, to find any reliable sources to support the text of this biography. No GNews hits, nothing on Goggle Scholar. There seem to be a lawyer and a scientist with the same name but I've drawn a blank trying to verify that this man meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines for biographies.--CharlieDelta (talk) 15:17, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have replaced the proposed for deletion template as it had been removed without the addition of the required reliable source. Please do not remove the template again until the article has at least one reliable source. I have also replaced the maintenance tags as the multiple issues identified remain.--CharlieDelta (talk) 07:21, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since the article creator has provided some possible references (below), I have not replaced the proposed deletion tag again even though the article is (at this time) still unreferenced. I am hopeful that one of the sources below will turn out to be helpful. Intention is to resolve this in the next day or so.--CharlieDelta (talk) 07:30, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possible sources

[edit]

I have removed the following possible sources from the article as they have not been added to the article correctly. I'm also not convinced that these are sufficient verification but they are certainly worth consideration:

The problem that I see is that the sources above provide (at best) a passing reference to this subject and none of this meets the notability guidelines for biographies.

NB: The "undeletion" request is premature, so I have removed it. The article has not been deleted. I have again replaced the maintenance tags. Please do not remove them again without addressing the issues identified. Removing the tags doesn't make the problem go away.--CharlieDelta (talk) 07:06, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One reliable source from The Hindu provided, which I have added as an in-line citation, which is enough for the proposed deletion tag to have been removed. The other issues remain.--CharlieDelta (talk) 20:33, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
