We need to avoid anachronism
[edit]Ghana is a name placed on the modern country in 1956. It was not previously the name of the place. The place was called Gold Coast. Cugoano's orgins there seem to be outside the colonies that existed there, but it seems we can say he was from the lat area. In his time Ghana was a liberal dead empire that had not included any of the Gold Coast but existed much further west and north. The term Ghanaian this makes no sense imposed on him.John Pack Lambert (talk) 22:17, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
