Not part of the Union Canal
[edit]I removed the following paragraph from the article:
From the late 18th century to the mid 19th century, the creek was used as part of the route of the Union Canal, which connected the headwaters of the creek with Tulpehocken Creek, a tributary of the Schuylkill River.
If you compare the following two maps with modern maps, then you'll notice that the union canal went north of the town centre of Lebanon to the Union Canal Tunnel. The north end of this tunnel connects to another creek that flows into the Swatara Creek at Union Water Works. The Quittapahilla Creek on the other hand flows south of the town centre and the railroad till west of Anneville.
