R. R. Proctor

Named for an L.A. field engineer who developed the method circa 1933 UIC notes, "Construction Site Work, Site Utilities and Substructures Databook" by Sidney M. Levy. Should be mentioned in the article.

Skempton

Kind of funny Proctor got his ideas from Skempton, who was only 19 when Proctor invented his test. If I can find some sources I'll try to correct this. –Sarregouset (talk) 23:36, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
