[edit]Sure; here are some things I noticed:
- The article should be at Process management (computing). Generally we capitalize only the first word, unless there are proper names involved. The same is true for ==Section headings==. You can move the article yourself by using the move button.
- There's no need to link the same article several times; for example you link process many times, but since the whole article is about processes, it's a little distracting. Just link it the first time you mention it.
- It would be better if citations were inlined throughout the text, using the ref tag; see {{nofootnote}}.
- The sources themselves ought to be formatted using the {{cite book}} template.
- If you add diagrams, please use SVG so that they can be nicely scaled, edited, and printed.
- The style guide also has lots of tips on conforming to Wikipedia style.
- The article needs categories; you can look at related articles like kernel (computer science) and process (computing) to find some; they're usually at the very bottom of the wiki source.
- Be careful about using non-objective language; to open with "the fundamental task of any modern operating system is process management" is straying into POV territory. Couldn't one have a different opinion as to what the fundamental task of an OS is? A better opening establishes context ("In computer science... "), uses the title of the article right away, and explains what it is ("state the obvious") in a brief way.
- I think the trickiest thing about this article will be making sure it fits cleanly with the other work we already have on this topic. There's already some overlap with process (computing), for example. At a minimum, those other articles should link to this one (perhaps using {{main}}; at best, we make sure that a reader gets a coherent story across all of the related articles without too much repetition or differing terminology.

Needs main description
[edit]This article needs a sentence that describes process management. It could be something like: "In computing, process management is the management of processes." Somerandomuser (talk) 19:51, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
Things to consider adding details on for better understanding
[edit]- process control blocks and how they are used in process management
- threads and their relation to process management
- schedulers
- queues in process management and how this causes bufferingPunker1999(talk) 16:32, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
