The result of the move request was: Page moved. Even though there was no participants in the RM, I took the liberty of verifying the info. Upon my search, there were more search results with "Hermann Leiningen" (186K) than there were for "Prince Hermann Friedrich of Leiningen" (35.5K) Hermann does live a quiet and normal life and prefers to be referred to as "Hermann Leiningen". The RM initiator also referenced Wikipolicy. And with all of that, I've been inclined to fulfill the RM. (closed by non-admin page mover) Jerm (talk) 00:12, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Comment he literally said he lives a normal life and prefers "Hermann Leiningen" [1]; what WP:POLICY is being used to object to this? WP:AT is the basic naming standard, and WP:CONCISE says don't use long names for no reason. If the objection is based not on a policy but some lower level guide or local consensus decree, then it does not trump a site-wide policy, which is what WP:AT/CONCISE is. -- 67.70.33.184 (talk) 05:43, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
