moving article

[edit]

An editor copied the text, "moving" the article to The Portland Tribune. This is a good renaming, but should be done by the "move" process, so that article history and talk page are preserved. I requested that an admin do that here. -Pete 21:16, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually according to the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, the official name is Portland Tribune--no "the". Katr67 21:41, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Also note that there is no "The" in the masthead. Katr67 21:44, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. I suppose you'd never guess that I was one of the first employees of said newspaper, before it even had a name. If you're looking for me, I'll be the one in the corner with a dunce cap on... -Pete 22:54, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LOL. No dunce cap, but a shiny Assumes Good Faith badge. :) (This is why journalists need copy editors--scroll down to the bottom). Katr67 23:21, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weaver/Pond/Gaddis

[edit]

This WW story covers how it was the Trib's journalism that identified Ward Weaver as a suspect in the Pond/Gaddis killings. http://wweek.com/editorial/2743/3111/ -Pete (talk) 20:19, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
