Vanport?
[edit]Many books and other sources indicate that Vanport was a hastily built temporary city, so the workers used wooden foundations instead of concrete in the town's construction. Yet the article states that concrete foundations were part of what was left post-flood? Flood photographs clearly show the apartment buildings floating like corks in the water, and this has been attributed to the wooden foundations. Can the existence of concrete foundations for at least some of the buildings be verified?Tsarevna (talk) 17:05, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
