Childish comment
[edit]sometimes polly plummer doesn't do as she's told (because of uncle andrew asked her to recieve a ring and digory tells her not to so in this case she doesn't listen to others) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.27.120.143 (talk • contribs)
World view of an adult
[edit]Polly doesn't have the naїvté normally associated with an eleven year old child. For example, when Digory feels sorry for the witch, and wants to help her, before the two return to London, Polly complains : "ten to one she's only shamming. Do come on." Displaying a cynicism not characteristic of children. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.211.195.52 (talk) 17:58, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, not all children are the same. Some are more mature than others, perhaps more cynical.
Polly's age
[edit]Something else, and probably trivial: I wouldn't myself call a 60-year-old elderly. Middle-aged perhaps. I know that such words are used loosely. But anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smilesofasummernight (talk • contribs) 21:59, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
