• Expand the third paragraph of the lead, about the reception of the game.
• "The basic goal of the game" – paragraph has no reference Y
• There is no reference for "There are two main goals" paragraph Y
• "As well as trading with each other, " – paragraph has no reference Y
• " Reception" section needs to be expanded severely. Add quotes from reviews, talk about what reviewers praised or criticized.
• The first two paragraphs in "Pokémon Yellow" need references. Y
• The paragraph in "Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen" needs references. Y

Most of the referencing is done now. As for your first point, that the reception paragraph of the lead needs to be expanded, I would just like to point out that most of the other video game articles I have looked at (i.e., Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (this one doesn't even have a reception paragraph in the lead), 1080° Snowboarding) are about the same length as this article currently is.

Considering the massive popularity of this game, I thought there would be more reviews and awards available to find online, but it appears that that is not the case after I looked. I suppose it is more difficult to find information on games that existed before the internet age. Anyways, this article has now been passed. Gary King (talk) 17:20, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
