Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Murshid be merged into Pir (Sufism). I think that the content in the Murshid article can easily be explained in the context of Pir (Sufism), and the Pir (Sufism) article is of a reasonable size in which the merging of Murshid will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Additionally the Murshid article has been proposed for deletion, which is a pity as it is informative about this term. Hoverfish Talk 11:36, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
Support I think that an article explanating the term "Murshid" is infornative and encyclopedic. But since such an article fails notability due to lack of citations, a redirect to another, as relevant as possible, which is IMO the Pir article, can offer the needed explanation for the term. In fact, the term Murid linked to in this article, depends on the term Murshid, so there should be somewhere the explanation of what Murshid is. Hoverfish Talk 11:50, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
I retire my proposal as there seems to have been a misunderstanding when Murshid was proposed for deletion. The deletion tag was removed. Hoverfish Talk 19:33, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
