process
[edit]the content for phase-gate process, seems to need a stated purpose. so towards that end please review the following;
Purpose of a Phase-Gate Process
The purpose of a phase-gate process is to deliver project information to business owners. Upon receiving and evaluating project information, the business owners are expected to approve further project spending to achieve the next objectives of the project. Oftentimes, the business owners approve the next phase of project work during a gate review. The business owners are expected to have non-project activities that consume their time. Approving investment for only one phase at a time, limits the exposure of the business to the investment costs of that single phase of the project. Business owners delegate phase project work to the project teams, enabling the work on the project to proceed, while business owners focus their day-to-day efforts on non-project activities and tasks.
