Northern lamprey → Petromyzontidae – Correct taxonomic name. "Northern lamprey" is vague. Hemiauchenia (talk) 22:36, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support, the scientific name is more commonly used than "northern lamprey" according to n-grams. "Northern lamprey' is imprecicise as it is also used specifically as a vernacular name for Ichthyomyzon unicuspis (see [FishBase). Plantdrew (talk) 22:48, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
