[edit]What about the fact this guy ordered the planting of the tear gas that ignited and burned the women and children alive at Waco in the siege on Koresh's compound?
He also expanded the Army's occult activities to include the war on terror.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.216.128.110 (talk • contribs) 12:27, 12 October 2005.
Officer
[edit]I'm curious on how he became an officer. Was it OCS or ROTC?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.185.84.246 (talk • contribs) 02:49, 7 April 2006.
According to GOMO on AKO, his source was ROTC. Hal06 21:10, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Odd, that the top Army post is held by a non-Vietnam vet in time of war, when there are plenty of vets to go around ...
- Not so odd when you consider that 2003, when he was recalled to active duy and appointed to Chief of Staff, was 30 years after the 1973 last US Army involvement in the Vietnam Conflict. I would think that there were very few Vietnam vets still on active duty in 2003.--TGC55 (talk) 01:24, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Army Transformation
[edit]Perhaps the Army Transformation section should be its own article?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gibblet (talk • contribs) 12:57, 7 June 2006.
Previous Assignments
[edit]Was 73rd Armor ever assigned to Korea? I know that 72nd Armor has been here in Korea with 2ID for a while. I believe GEN Schoomaker's bio for his previous assignments needs to be changed to 72nd Armor, unless 73rd actually was assigned to Korea in that timeframe. Mike 12:59, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Transformation
[edit]Theme referred from here to Transformation of the United States Army, because it should have it's own lemma.(MARK S. 09:09, 17 July 2006 (UTC))
Date of first retirement?
[edit]What was the date of his first retirement form active duty -- 2000?--TGC55 18:37, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Worth including?
[edit]Military capitalization. 86.139.249.89 12:25, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- No. Not only is that not a good source in the first place (it's an opinion article from some person's blog), but the subject of the article itself is pretty silly. So he wants to capitalize "soldier." Who cares? If he engineered a new uniform for the Army made of fuchsia leather, fringe, and thigh-high boots, then yeah, I could see that being added because it would be on the somewhat extraordinary side of things and may even suggest a possible mental breakdown on his part. But just asking people to capitalize soldier? Meh. No. --ScreaminEagle 18:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry - I didn't mean the blog entry itself, but the Stars and Stripes piece. It is actually pretty old news, that tracks back to a December 2003 issue [1]. 86.141.83.8 21:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- OK. Point is, it's still pretty minor news, you know? I still wouldn't include such a trivial thing. --ScreaminEagle 22:41, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Delta/CAG
[edit]Wasn't GEN Schoomaker a member of Delta Force? I saw this in the Wikipedia entry some time ago, but it has been taken out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 223.25.8.200 (talk) 17:22, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
