[edit]A question. According to the main article on the movie "the actors had signed contracts with him and the producers ensuring that they would not appear in any type of media, motion pictures or commercials for one year after the film's release in order to promote the idea that the film was truly the recovered footage of missing documentarians."
This is substantially different from the claim that "The actors had signed contracts to stay out of the media for a year in order to fuel rumours that the film was a snuff movie."
Which is of these two claims is correct? 71.34.99.251 (talk) 19:45, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Apparently, students at the actors studio are supposed (or were supposed at the time) not to appear in motion pictures whilst they study there (for a star, the four shot "Cannibal Holocaust" while they were supposed not to), so I guess the contract probably specified that they had to keep a low radar for one year, in addition not to appear in motion pictures. BTW, I incidentally spoke to Ruggero Deodato a few years back and he specified that the guy was American, not Italian. (probably of Finnish descent, judging from his name and looks, but I'm just taking a guess). Just found here the video where Gabriel Yorke confirms it.
