History
[edit]The penicillin discovery is better treated in the penicillin entry. I'd suggest the history discussion here be omitted. Nemetona 03:54, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- I would second the suggestion that the history section here be removed. What's here is merely a recounting of the old myth about the discovery of penicillin, which is not entirely accurate and covered in much better depth in the penicillin entry itself.
- I agree too. This even contradicts the penicillin article. user:guruclef
- I would rather add a link to the penicillin article; also, the term "penicillinases" is incorrect, and should in fact refer to "Beta-lactanase" and the appropriate article.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.239.73.187 (talk) 04:29, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- I concur. The way that the section was written led me to do some additional research and it seemed to be an erroneous mishmash of documented history. Since no one seemed to have done anything to address it, I went ahead and modified it. I'm not sure if the way I did the reference is correct, so if someone wants to check it and correct if necessary, I'd be grateful. I also reformatted this talk session to flow a bit more cleanly as a thread. Anavaino (talk) 06:17, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
