Article weighting to US

[edit]

Almost the entirety of the lede regarding Paediatric trauma is discussed in terms of the US. Should the article be renamed to "Paediatric trauma in the United States", as death rates in developing countries are going to be caused by malaria, dysentery etc. and not trauma injuries. Or move everything apart from the first sentence into a sub heading called Paediatric trauma in the United States. FruitMonkey (talk) 18:48, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The reason for the lack of international statistics is because I do not have and sources for them. If you know any feel free to add them to the article :) Peter.C • talk 23:13, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You are never going to find them. Amnesty, Red Cross, etc, will have stats on the use of children in war, landmine injuries etc. But you will never get official statistics in certain areas. The lede should always reflect the body of the text, and I think by dropping the information to a new section makes an interesting article less likely to cause confusion, FruitMonkey (talk) 23:22, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What if I were to make an epidemiology in the United States section? Peter.C • talk 23:35, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Having a thin lede isn't bad if it contains the topic in a concise manner. FruitMonkey (talk) 23:48, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
