Missing mention that the Passaic river passes Clifton both before and after passing Passaic.
[edit]I just wanted to note that after passing Patterson the Passaic River passes to the east of Clifont, then winds around the to the east of Passaic, then passes to the east of Clifton again. (Passaic is surrounded by Clifton on 3 sides and by the Passaic river on the other). NNJDROPTOP 19:48, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Pronunciation
[edit]I've lived within a mile of the Passaic all my life, and I've never heard someone say Passaic as "pa-SAY-ic". It's always been "puh-SAIK". I also row on it every day.Linuxman97 (talk) 00:22, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not a native, but I work in Newark and among NJ's transient population, and I've only ever heard it pronounced "pa-SAY-ic". I'm curious about where you live - maybe you have a regional or "local" pronunciation.CarlsonC (talk) 16:03, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
Natives of the county, and those in the know, know it's pronounced "puh-SAIK." Pronunciation guide on the page is wrong, and should be corrected.68.197.17.136 (talk) 11:09, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

1984 flood
[edit]The flood of 1984 resulted in the loss of three lives and caused $642 million in damages (October 2006 dollars).
Source: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. I'm trying to followup on this flood from another article, and I notice Wikipedia has nothing on it. Viriditas (talk) 23:18, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
