that in South Korea, six-time world wushu champion Park Chan-dea is said to have surpassed the career of Jet Li? Source: [1]
- ... that Park Chan-dea is the only male wushu athlete who is a six-time world champion? Source: [2]

- Yinglong999 do you have an English language source for that claim? The google translated version of the source doesn't seem to mention "Jet Li". It does say "he surpasses Li Lian-je (Lee Yeon-geol)". Is that another name for Jet Li?VR talk 05:21, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
- Vice regent Hi. Li Lianjie (李连杰) is the birth name of Jet Li. I cannot find an English source for this claim though. Thanks. Yinglong999 (talk) 06:11, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
- Got it, thanks. I have another question. Is the source kyeongin.com a WP:RS? I couldn't find much about it on google.VR talk 13:19, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
- Kyeongin Ilbo (경기일보) seems to be reliable. Also just as a note, I do not know Korean, so nearly all the information I have used to create this article was gathered though google translate. Perhaps if this one claim by this singular source might not be sufficient, could it be better to rewrite the hook to something like "that in South Korea, six-time world wushu champion Park Chan-dea is said to have surpassed the career of wushu masters in China?" I know from my experiences writing this article that there are more sources have a claim similar to this. Yinglong999 (talk) 05:48, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- What about "Park Chan-dea is the only male athlete to win six world championship titles at the WWC?"? It seems to be sourced to this article in Yonhap News Agency, which is probably a reputable source. I prefer this hook because it is a fact, not an opinion. Typically if only one person holds an opinion that raises questions of WP:WEIGHT and requires specific attribution as per WP:NPOV.VR talk 17:42, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- I was thinking exactly that in the first place. Originally I was going to say "the only athlete" but then I learned and wrote about Nguyễn Thúy Hiền who achieved seven titles so I decided to try to find another hook, and to specifically state "male athlete" seemed sort of underwhelming. I understand that it is a fact instead of an opinion and so I will re-write the hook.Yinglong999 (talk) 22:50, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
