municipality

Town Panchayat was constituted in the year 1963 , subsequently It has upgraded as third Grade Municipality from 07.10.2004, (municipality.tn.gov.in/Pallipalayam/) It has a population of 35635 (2001 census) and an extent of 4.70 Sq. Correction

//Pallipalayam is a Municipality town, located as a part of Erode City. It'll be included in newer Erode District//

It is very near to Erode and it has many business links with Erode. But we can not say it is part of Erode. Also we have not heard/read any proposal to include it to Erode District. It is totally wrong. We have to correct it. Title should be Pallipalayam not Pallipalayam-Erode. We have one Pallipalayam in state highway 81 near Gobi, we can call it as Pallipalayam-Erode --Kurumban (talk) 17:24, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
