add Category: Korea Image Awards Winners 36.231.136.55 (talk) 13:25, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not done. Not supported in the article. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 13:55, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Deacon Vorbis: Why? Psy is 2013 Korea Image Awards Winner, see this reference: Psy wins Korea Image Award , Korea Image Awards Winners also include Rain_(entertainer), Ban Ki-moon, AlphaGo, Samsung Galaxy, SK Telecom etc. Do you think Psy is so good that the Korea Image Awards doesn't deserve him and if so why he took it? 43.239.157.198 (talk) 14:41, 3 May 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 43.239.157.198 (talk • contribs) 14:05, May 3, 2020 (UTC)
- @43.239.157.198: Like Deacon Vorbis already said, the information is not supported in the article. Per WP:CATV,
Categorization of articles must be verifiable. It should be clear from verifiable information in the article why it was placed in each of its categories.
and this award is not mentioned at all in the article. Adding the category would be adding unsourced information. Other artists receiving this award has absolutely nothing to do with this article or its categories. Alex (talk) 14:09, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- @43.239.157.198: Like Deacon Vorbis already said, the information is not supported in the article. Per WP:CATV,
- @Alexanderlee: @Deacon Vorbis: The info is genuine and solid. Or else you can ask Psy yourself if this award is a good recognitin in his K-pop career. If as you said, I quote, "this award is not mentioned at all in the article", then pls add a sentence in this article stating "Psy was 2013 Korea Image Awards Winners for his work in promoting Korea's image to the world" with reference to the external link Psy wins Korea Image Award. Simply decline the request and do nothing to refine doen't seem to be the spirit of wikipedia. It also hurts people who wants to contibute to the completeness of information. 43.239.157.198 (talk) 14:41, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- @43.239.157.198: I'm sorry, but nobody is trying to hurt anyone here. A request was made to add a category, which was declined and a reason was provided. You asked why, and I explained why in further detail. Nobody has questioned whether the information was correct, that was not the problem with your request. I have added the information, but please remember to sign your talk page comments with four tildes (~). Alex (talk) 14:35, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Alexanderlee: Thanks a lot Alex, sorry for the harsh comment I just made. I am new to wiki editing and as you can see (e.g. four tildes), I am learning the policies, rules, syntax and stuff here. Appreciate your patience and good day! 43.239.157.198 (talk) 14:41, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- @43.239.157.198: No problem, you're welcome. It can be a little confusing at times, but we all start somewhere. I'm sure you'll pick it all up as you continue editing. Alex (talk) 14:44, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
